Do I need a referral to make an appointment?No a referral is not necessary to see one of our psychologists. However, if your GP provides you with a Mental Health Care Plan, you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate to help cover part of the session cost.
How long does each session go for?Each standard appointment runs for 50 minutes.
What happens during my first appointment?When you arrive, please make yourself comfortable in our waiting area. Your psychologist will come and meet you at your scheduled time. The first session is an opportunity for you and your psychologist to get to know one another, discuss your goals, and begin to develop a tailored support plan. You’re welcome to ask any questions along the way.
How many sessions will I need?The number of sessions varies depending on the childs needs, the nature of the concerns being addressed, and any previous support you may have received. On average, clients attend fortnightly session through out the year becoming less frequent as progress is made.
What is your cancellation policy?We ask that you confirm or cancel appointments at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time to others who may be waiting for support. Cancellations made within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee (see our cancellation policy) .
Are telehealth sessions available?
Yes, we offer appointments via a secure telehealth platform. You’ll receive a link to join your session once your appointment is confirmed. No software download is necessary.
